Building new Fixed Income sales technology group based in Tokyo
seeking experienced team leader with hands-on development skills
to lead this group. This role requires to build strong
relationships with local sales desks and global sales technology
team, act as the point contact to local sales users, supervise
one local consultant and manage the tasks for offshore team,
work closely with global and local IT team to develop and
maintain forward thinking sales related applications.

Responsibilities: Daily supervise one consultant who supports the local sales user. Manage the development task assigned to Indian offshore team Understand existing sales, trading and downstream system flow and implement system feeds automation for sales related systems Implement new functionalities in global systems based on Japan local priorities Implement global strategic sales systems with global team for local Japan business Local point contact to Japan sales desk for supporting global sales systems Enhancement and maintenance of existing local sales applications, feeds, and services. Coordination with local business and global technology team. Requirements (indicate mandatory or/and preferred): Team player comfortable working in a dynamic and fast paced environment. Strong communication skills: clear and precise presentation of ideas, and proactive engagement of management and peers. Good Business Flow Analysis skill. Experience building system feeds automation and resolving data discrepancies a plus Driven and ambitious: constantly seeking self-improvement. Able to deliver to sometimes tight schedules with minimal supervision. Native level Japanese language skill is a must. Business level English required. Technical and work experience: 3 years+ experience in financial industry supporting the front office users 5 years+ experience in J2EE development. Familiar with web servers like WebLogic or JBoss a plus. Knowledge of Object-oriented design, design patterns, and component-based design. Good understanding on SQL with experience using Databases like Sybase or UDB Development experience using both UNIX and Windows operating systems. Development experience on Web services, Web GUI. Familiarity with recent web innovations, STRUTS, SPRING, AJAX, and EJB a plus. VBA programming skills on Microsoft Access/Excel development a plus Project Management Experience a plus Any other special comments if any: A computer science or engineering honours degree preferred.
